KUALA LUMPUR (April 12): Vizione Holdings Bhd non-executive chairman Datuk Dr Raman Ismail has resigned to pursue other interests.

According to Vizione Annual Report 2018, Raman, 59, was appointed to his current position on Oct 1, 2015.

After completing his service with the health ministry, he joined French firm Sanofi Pasteur as the regional head of medical, research and scientific affairs for Asia-Pacific, where he served in the organisation for 15 years.

He was also a Barisan Nasional Member of Parliament for Gombak from 2004 to 2008, but lost his seat to Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Sri Mohamed Azmin Ali. During the period, Raman was appointed as chairman of Sabaco Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of TH Plantations Bhd, director of Puncak Niaga Sdn Bhd and executive chairman of Merchantrade Sdn Bhd.

Vizione shares closed 0.51% or half a sen higher at 98 sen yesterday, with 1.65 million shares traded, giving it a market capitalisation of RM545.56 million.  — theedgemarkets.com
