KUALA LUMPUR (May 24): Audit firm Deloitte has denied being the subject of investigation into scandal-ridden IMDB following a raid by the Malaysian police on its Kuala Lumpur office today.

“On 23 May 2019, officers of the Royal Malaysia Police arrived at the offices of Deloitte Malaysia seeking assistance in the provision of records relating to 1MDB.

“Deloitte Malaysia is not the subject of the investigation and is cooperating fully with the authorities in their investigation,” the group said in a response to theedgemarkets.com’s query regarding the incident yesterday.

Reuters had quoted two police sources as saying that the raid had occurred as part of a probe into the 1MDB scandal.

The newswire reported that investigators seized documents and records related to the firm’s dealings with 1MDB.
