KUALA LUMPUR (May 27): The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) (pictured) has bought Sports Direct International Plc’s UK HQ for £120 million (RM640 million), Bloomberg reported based on a story from The Sunday Times of the UK.

It was reported on May 17 that Sports Direct owned by tycoon Mike Ashley was “in advanced negotiations to sell the freehold rights to its property in the town of Shirebrook in central England”.

This also included “a warehouse complex and distribution center, to KWAA Logix Sportivo Ltd for £120.1 million”.

The Sunday Times report also stated that “EPF owns KWAA Logix Sportivo”.
