KUALA LUMPUR (June 28): The price of RON97 petrol will be raised by 11 sen to RM2.49 per litre from RM2.38 per litre for the period of June 29 to July 5, says the Finance Ministry.

Retail prices of RON95 petrol and diesel will remain unchanged at RM2.08 and RM2.18 per litre respectively.

In a statement today, the ministry said based on the automatic pricing mechanism (APM), the retail price of RON95 and diesel during the period should be RM2.19 and RM2.28 per litre respectively.

The estimated amount to be subsidised by the government during the period is RM75.16 million.
