KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 25): Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Abdul Hamid Bador said today the police know where to find fugitive financier Low Taek Jho, better known as Jho Low, and hope to bring him back by the end of the year.

In a report from Reuters today, Abdul Hamid said: "I will try my best to expedite (the process) ... hopefully we can get him back by the end of the year."

He was speaking at a forum which was broadcasted live on television.

The police had also said in April earlier this year that they knew the whereabouts of Jho Low.

Jho Low is wanted to assist in investigations into a multi-billion dollar scandal at state fund 1MDB.

Investigators believe Low, is deeply involved in the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) scandal, which US and Malaysian prosecutors say was used to siphon out billions of ringgit.
