PETALING JAYA (Oct 30): Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) wants the property owner of a piece of land in Section 16 impacted by landslip to fix the problem.

A MBPJ spokesman told The Star that a notice will be issued to “compel” the landowner to “take necessary precautions to stop the landslip from worsening”.

It has been reported that a “hillslope on the privately owned land facing Menara Star in Phileo Damansara 2” was suffering from soil erosion.

Workers in the commercial area told the daily that they are worried about their safety “as the landslip is still left unattended”.

A Section 16 resident also told the publication that said she saw “MBPJ officers checking on the erosion using a drone over the weekend”.
