PETALING JAYA (Nov 5): Perdana Parkcity Sdn Bhd (ParkCity)’s Plaza Arkadia has bagged the inaugural Mixed-use Development award at the FIABCI Malaysia Property Award 2019.

Located in Desa ParkCity, Kuala Lumpur, Plaza Arkadia is the first phase of Desa ParkCity’s new 11.3-acre ParkCity TownCentre.

The award was presented by Tunku Dr Fauzi Abdul Malek to ParkCity Group CEO Datuk Joseph Lau at a gala dinner on Nov 2, 2019.

“It is very gratifying to be the first recipient of the FIABCI award in the mixed-use development category. Plaza Arkadia reinvents the standard shop-office concept by redefining it as a hybrid - with vibrant social spaces, all packaged in a contemporary, pedestrian-friendly design inspired by colonial architecture, interlinked with the modern small-office-home-office (SOHO) units,” said Lau in a statement following the win.

Current occupancy of Plaza Arkadia is at over 80%. Tenants include anchors – Village Grocer and Maybank, as well as a myriad of hangout places, learning and enrichment centres, workout studios, beauty salons, emporiums, artisanal shops, and service providers.

It also boasts a good mix of eateries offering local and international foods, as well as coffee shops and bakeries.

The freehold development, completed in December 2016, consists of 8 blocks with four to five storeys each, 211 shops, 167 SOHOs and 139 offices, as well as two levels of basement carparks housing 1908 carpark bays in total.

The low-rise blocks at Plaza Arkadia are interconnected via a link bridge on the first floor, making units more accessible with improved walkability.

It also offers free WiFi service daily from 10am to 10pm to all customers.

All units at the development are also equipped with fibre-optics-to-the-premises infrastructure for convenient high-speed internet access.
