PETALING JAYA (Nov 7): A man attacked an apartment management committee member after he was asked to move his vehicle which was obstructing traffic to parking bays, according to a video which went viral on Facebook.

A 34-minute video of the incident at Gugusan Teratai, Section 6, Kota Damansara on Nov 2 showed the man kicking the victim several times.

The video, which was uploaded yesterday on the apartment management's Facebook page, also showed the victim's attempt to reason with the man who spoke rudely and waved around a metal rod.

According to the apartment management, the victim was responding to a complaint about a car blocking access to parking bays for visitors and for rent.

The Star reported today that Petaling Jaya OCPD ACP Mohd Zani Che Din confirmed the case when contacted.

The report quoting Mohd Zani said the suspect had been charged on Nov 6 with criminal intimidation and damaging public property in the process of committing mischief.
