PETALING JAYA (Nov 12): Sony (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd has opened the first Sony Centre Concept Store with a lounge in Sunway Pyramid recently.

Spanning 1,818 sq ft in the shopping mall located in Bandar Sunway, Petaling Jaya, the new Sony Centre emphasises innovative consumer experiences, where the lounge is equipped for customers to enjoy Sony gears with Netflix, Spotify, free WiFi and free coffee. 

The new Sony Centre is owned and operated by FM Retail Management Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Wah Kong Corp Sdn Bhd. The latter is a photography and digital imaging industry player which has been working with Sony Malaysia to operate its retail business and introducing Sony’s latest products and services to the consumer market since 2007.

The opening of the new Sony Centre Concept Store last Friday was officiated by Sony Malaysia managing director Arai Satoru, head of sales Chiw Yew Ming, head of marketing Takahiro Yamasaki, Sunway Malls & Theme Parks CEO HC Chan, Wah Kong founder and chairman KM Choy, Wah Kong CEO PY Choy and FM Retail Management Retail Division operation manager Jey Chai.

Sony plans to regularly hold activities in the store, such as workshops, competitions, Sony Sound Testing and many more.
