PETALING JAYA (Nov 15): The retail price of RON97 petrol will be higher by 13 sen per litre at RM2.70 while the prices of RON95 petrol and diesel will remain the same, at RM2.08 and RM2.18 per litre respectively, effective tomorrow until Nov 22.

The Finance Ministry in a statement today said: "Based on the calculation under the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM), the retail prices for both RON95 and diesel should be RM2.40 per litre and RM2.25 per litre respectively."

The estimated petroleum subsidy that the government would have to bear for the period Nov 16 and Nov 22 was RM120.58 million.
