Najib files suit against Joanna Yu, AmBank with regard to AmBank accounts

KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 10): Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak has filed a suit against AmBank Islamic Bhd, AMMB Holdings Bhd and AmBank relationship manager Joanna Yu Ging Ping in relation to the accounts under the former premier's name, which were utilised for the purpose of diverting funds from SRC International Sdn Bhd.

Based on a court document sighted by theedgemarkets.com, the suit is in relation to the AmBank accounts ending 694, 880, 898 and 906.

The document states that the accounts were closed without Najib's knowledge at the material time.

"Unbeknownst to the plaintiff at the material time, AmBank caused and/or acquiesced to Joanna Yu being designated as a 'Relationship Manager' over the 694, 880, 898 and/or 906 accounts.

"In this capacity, Joanna Yu either personally or through the actions of her subordinates acting under her instructions, became the main personnel and/or agent of AmBank through which all dealings on the Plaintiff's Accounts were undertaken at the material time," said the document.
