KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 17): Former inspector-general of police (IGP) Tan Sri Musa Hassan (pictured) said he is not troubled about ex-Special Action Force (UTK) police commando Azilah Hadri’s statutory declaration (SD) that former PM Datuk Seri Najib Razak ordered him to kill Mongolian national Altantuyaa Shaariibuu, reported Malaysiakini today.
A Twitter user reportedly wondered if Musa “had trouble sleeping last night” after the explosive revelations but the former top cop dismissed such concerns by saying: “InsyaAllah slept soundly and managed to perform the 'subuh' prayers. It is important to ensure that truth prevails, not slander.”
Musa was the country’s top cop when the Altantuyaa was shot to death and her body blown up with C4 explosives back in 2006.
Azilah, who is now a death row prisoner, alleged that the order for him to kill Altantuya came from Najib and political analyst Abdul Razak Baginda.
Malaysiakini yesterday “sighted” a SD dated Oct 17, 2019 where Azilah revealed that Najib ordered him to “arrest and destroy” Altantuya. Azilah was also told by the former PM (then deputy PM) that the Mongolian woman was a “foreign spy”.
