PETALING JAYA (March 21): Three members of the Damansara Utama Methodist Church (DUMC) (pictured) have been tested positive for the COVID-19 infection, reported The Star, yesterday.

The report state that the three members involved are Datin Doris Ho, the wife of Pastor Datuk Dr Daniel Ho, and two participants of a Bible study group.

The church has since contacted all members of the study group in Kuala Lumpur and they are currently monitoring in self-quarantine while having also been tested for the infection.

In a message to the Malaysia’s Christian community Pastor Daniel said he and his wife were tested yesterday.

"Mine came out negative whereas hers is positive. There are two others in DUMC who tested positive too.

"Many of you have expressed your kind thoughts, love, concern and prayers for us during this time from around the country and across the world," he said in his message.

It was reported yesterday that COVID-19 cases in Malaysia have reached 1,030, as the country records a 130 jump in new cases as at noon yesterday.

Of the new cases reported, 48 involved participants of the religious gathering at Masjid Jamek Seri Petaling, said Ministry of Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
