Update: Eight new Covid-19 deaths in Malaysia, while 68 more recovered from infection

KUALA LUMPUR (March 29): Malaysia has recorded eight new deaths from Covid-19 as at 11pm today, bringing the total to 35 deaths, according to health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah's latest announcement. 

This is as the nation recorded another 150 new patients, pushing the tally to 2,470.

Meanwhile, 68 more patients have recovered. In total, the number of recovered patients stood at 388.

73 patients are being treated in the intensive care unit (ICU), 52 of which require breathing ventilators, he said.
