Alor Setar City Council allows selected shops to open two days a week

ALOR SETAR (April 6): Alor Setar City Council (MPAS) has now allowed fertiliser and pest control shops, auto parts stores, hardware stores and pet shops to open during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period, but only limited to two days a week.

According to the city council’s announcement in its Facebook page dated April 6, the shops are only allowed to operate on Monday and Thursday, from 8am to 8pm, effective from April 1 to 14.

Consumers are also required to wear face masks and use the hand sanitiser as well as keeping a minimum 1m social distance from each other in the shops, said the announcement.
