KUALA LUMPUR (April 17): Zoo Negara Malaysia has closed its door to the public since the implementation of Movement Control Order (MCO) started in March 18, 2020.

The management of the zoo has expressed their concerns on their daily operations to look after the animals and maintain the environment on end-March, due to the cancelation of ticket sales and space rentals.

However, with the donation from the public and private sectors, the management has obtained enough funds to keep the business running and all the animal friends are well taken care of.

Housing and Local Government Deputy Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Abdul Muttalib visited the zoo today and participated in the sanitisation work together with the staff from Zoo Negara.

For animal lovers, they are also encouraged to participate in the animal adoption programme organised by Zoo Negara to contribute for the food, medical and facilities maintenance of their favourite animals.
