KUALA LUMPUR (May 15): MTD ACPI Engineering Bhd has bagged a RM184.17 million contract for the construction and completion of earthworks and infrastructure for the development of the Chuping Valley Industrial Area Phase 1 in Perlis.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, MTD ACPI said its wholly-owned subsidiary MTD Construction Sdn Bhd (MTDC) had on May 13 accepted the letter of award from the Northern Corridor Implementation Authority.

The 24-month project will commence on June 1, to be completed on May 31, 2022.

“The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of MTD ACPI group during the duration of the contract,” the group said.

MTD ACPI shares closed unchanged at 14.5 sen yesterday, giving it a market capitalisation of RM33.59 million. Some 5,000 shares were traded.
