PETALING JAYA (May 21): Social distancing, one of the new norms in the time of Covid-19.

It is with this in mind that Sunway Pyramid has decided to use mannequins get people socially distanced.

Mannequins have been placed on benches found around the mall so that only one person is allowed to sit.

They are also all dressed with clothes sold in the various shops in Sunway Pyramid – “Psst…if you like what they’re wearing, do check out the tent card placed beside them,” stated the mall in its Facebook page.

The mannequins are found at

Dorothy Perkins (LG1.31, Lower Ground One)

Lacoste (G1.32, Ground Floor)

Love Bonito (G1.87, Ground Floor)

Marks & Spencer (G1.68, Ground Floor)

Topshop (G1.26, Ground Floor)

Uniqlo (LG1.67, Lower Ground One)

And hygiene is also maintained: “Don't worry, they are sanitised frequently!”

“OMG BEST SOLUTION!! Now there is no such thing as forever-alone anymore!!! Everyone can have a date now!!! Single, cannot find anyone to go out with, Sunway, the only way that got you covered,” a person wrote in reaction to the Facebook posting by Sunway Pyramid.

“Please keep this around after lockdown so i dont feel lonely when i take a break from shopping alone,” said another mall fan.
