KUALA LUMPUR (May 30): Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Malaysia reported 30 new Covid-19 cases as at noon today, bringing the nation’s cumulative number of cases to 7,762 so far.

During a press conference at Putrajaya today, Noor Hisham said out of the 30 new cases, three were imported while 27 were local. Of the local cases, 17 involved foreigners while 10 were Malaysians.

"There were no Covid-19-related deaths reported as at noon today. The cumulative number of deaths remains at 115 so far,” he said.

He said 95 Covid-19 patients have recovered and have been discharged today, bringing the cumulative number recoveries to 6,330.

However, nine Covid-19 patients are still warded in the intensive care unit, two of whom are on ventilators, according to Noor Hisham.
