PETALING JAYA (June 4): As affordability remains the key focus in homeownership today, OSK Property is shifting focus to build more “essential homes” that are affordably priced at strategic locations, said CEO Ong Ghee Bin (pictured).

Ong said OSK Property has defined essential homes as developments that emphasise on the fundamental requirements with selected key facilities while maintaining a balance of greenery and sustainable features.

“OSK Property will continue to focus more on the buyer’s market to ease homeownership, especially for first time home buyers,” Ong said in a press statement.

In line with this aim, the developer plans to incorporate affordable products in future launches at Melawati in Selangor, Sentul in KL as well as an upcoming project called Rubica in Butterworth.

"That aside, plans are also underway at our recently purchased land in Bandar Bukit Puchong whereby OSK Property is looking at a total of four phases within the 27.77-acre masterplan which will be revealed in due time,” he added.

Meanwhile, the OSK Property is also looking to continue expanding its existing township Yarra Park in Sungai Petani, Kedah with the launch of two new phases this year, including semidees and single-storey terraced homes – Westfield and Northfield.

Furthermore, its newer township Iringan Bayu in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan will also be unveiling two new phases in view of the encouraging take-up rate from its previous launches.

The 22-acre Wetland Park at Iringan Bayu is also set to be opened to the public by this year.

To celebrate OSK Group’s 55th anniversary in property development, the developer has launched the 55x Rewards campaign which will run from June 1 to Dec 31, 2020. Participating projects include Iringan Bayu in Seremban, YOU CITY III in Cheras, Ryan & Miho in Petaling Jaya and Yarra Park in Kedah.
