PETALING JAYA (June 27): Mont’Kiara Palma owners’ and residents’ efforts in nurturing the 4-acre green and lush environment of their condominium have paid off as it won Gold of the EdgeProp-ILAM Malaysia’s Sustainable Landscape Award 2020, part of EdgeProp Malaysia’s Best Managed and Sustainable Property Awards 2020.

Sharing their love and passion in keeping the property and landscape well-maintained at the 26-year-old project is property manager SCM Property Services Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of UEM Sunrise Bhd, the developer of Mont’Kiara Palma.

“The landscape must be maintained well so that it could really be enjoyed. Our managers are diligent to conduct regular walkabouts and inspections to ensure that everything is in good condition. We also constantly look for ways to enhance the landscape and its maintenance,” said SCM Property Services general manager Paul Richard.

Paul: The achievements would serve as a benchmark for SCM Property Services’ operations in the future.

Other Gold winners of EdgeProp-ILAM Malaysia’s Sustainable Landscape Award 2020 are Horizon Hills, Windows on the Park and Adventure Park at Setia EcoHill 2.

At this year’s EdgeProp Malaysia’s Best Managed and Sustainable Property Awards, two other projects managed by SCM Property Services namely Grand Medini and Mont'Kiara Bayu also emerged among the winners.

Grand Medini won Silver in the below 10 years multi-own strata residential category while Mont'Kiara Bayu gained Bronze in the above 10 years multi-own strata residential category.

Paul said the achievements made by the projects under its care would serve as a benchmark for the property management company’s operations in future.

“Such awards recognise our efforts and those of the property owners,” he told EdgeProp.my.

The sun is shining bright, but the abundance of trees and shrubs at Mont’Kiara Palma creates a cooling and peaceful ambience.

“These awards will also motivate the management and maintenance staff to uphold their services and strive to be better,” he added.
Paul shared that for effective property management, keeping a healthy financial position is important so that there will be enough funds to upkeep and enhance the properties.

“You need people to see this as their home and understand that efforts must be made to maintain the place in good condition,” he said.

This year, winners of the EdgeProp Malaysia’s Best Managed and Sustainable Property Awards were announced at a virtual awards ceremony hosted on the evening of June 27 on EdgeProp Malaysia’s Facebook page.
