KUALA LUMPUR (July 2): US authorities have “expanded their effort to seize assets” belonging to Low Taek Jho (pictured) aka Jho Low which include an apartment in Paris and art works by Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat, Bloomberg reported today.

The report based on a statement by US Justice Department revealed that “forfeiture lawsuits filed Wednesday in Los Angeles seek to recover US$96 million (RM412 million) in assets.”

Some of the “items targeted in the latest lawsuits” are US$6 million Warhol “Campbell’s Soup Can” painting and a $10 million work by Claude Monet, said the Bloomberg report.

Real estate seized by the US government earlier include luxury condominiums in New York and mansions in Beverly Hills. They have all been put on the market.
