KUALA LUMPUR (July 16): Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) has received nominations for Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as a candidate for its party president and Perak Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu as a candidate for deputy president.

However, there was no candidate nominated for the post of Bersatu’s party chairman.

Bersatu party election committee (JPP) chairman Tan Sri Syed Hamid Albar said it will be drawing the candidate numbers for its supreme council posts, as well as for its Srikandi and Armada divisions, starting today.

“The list of candidate numbers can be accessed by all candidates and members through the official website of JPP Bersatu at http://pribumibersatu.org.my/sys/index.php/calon_mpt,” he said in a statement today.

He added that the name of candidates, including their honorary and academic titles, will be printed on the official candidates list and distributed to all divisions.

“Candidates who wish to make changes to the official print of their candidate's name, can inform the JPP in writing via email before July 25,” he said.
