Health DG sad to see social distancing rules disregarded at Duta court complex

PETALING JAYA (July 28): Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah stated that he is sad to see social distancing rules flouted at the Duta court complex where RM42 million SRC Internatioal Sdn Bhd graft trial of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak reached an important point today.

"Every day the Health Ministry reminds Malaysians to obey the SOP of maintaining safe distancing of at least 1m, wearing face masks and frequently washing your hands.

"It is sad to see a situation without self-control," he said in a Tweeter reaction to a Bernama story about the incident, The Star reported.

Reports and numerous photos showed many of Najib’s supporters gathered at the court complex in the morning up to the afternoon to show their support to the ex-PM.

The Edge reported that “people are pressed up against each other trying to get in to court, with absolutely no social distancing being practised”.

The report also stated that they “were believed to be brought here in 20 buses, unclear of where they were from”.
