Nepal Embassy lodges police report over video of truncheon assault on guard

KUALA LUMPUR (July 31): The Nepal Embassy has lodged a police report over a viral video that appeared to show a Malaysian male attacking a Nepalese security guard with a truncheon, reported the Malay Mail.

“The Embassy of Nepal, Kuala Lumpur notes with concern the recent video trending on social media regarding the assault on a security guard in Malaysia.

“A police report has been initiated for further investigations,” the news portal reported the embassy saying.

The embassy also called on “those with information about the incident” to contact it on [email protected] or its hotline at 016-247 2777.

Meanwhile, Security Industry Association of Malaysia committee member Datuk Basant Singh Sidhu told the Malay Mail that he has also lodged a police report over the video.
