PETALING JAYA (Sept 2): Animal lovers are outraged when seeing the viral images of a stray dog being painted orange and black to resemble a tiger.

In a recent social media posting by Malaysian Animal Association, the animal rights group has urged the public to provide information on the incident to track down the people who harm the dog.

The group even promised a “mystery gift” to the people who shared the information.

Photos of the “mini tiger” have gone viral and it has sparked outrage of dog lovers. The move of dyeing the fur of the dog is not funny, it’s animal abuse, wrote one of the netizens.

Another netizen raised the concern that the shocking orange color and black stripes might lead people to mistake the dog as a tiger and it might be killed by others who mistaken it as a tiger.
