KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 23): Former PM Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad (pictured) said that “we will have to wait to see” when asked about PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim claims about getting majority support to form the next government.

In a The Edge Singapore report quoting Dr Mahathir during the Zoom at Nutanix's ASEAN CIO Virtual Summit today, he said that this is “not the first time” Anwar has claimed that he has majority support and will be making a very important announcement, alluding to “a similar situation in September 2008”.

“We will have to wait to see if this is another episode of making claims that cannot be substantiated,” Dr Mahathir added.
