PETALING JAYA (Oct 22): Up to 23 positive Covid-19 cases have been detected at the Pelangi Damansara flats here, reported Sinar Harian.

A staff and representative of the Petaling District Health Office told the Malay language daily that Dr Abdullah Shafie 760 residents in Block B of the flats have gone for screenings.

"We started screenings since 6.30am, involving those who already symptoms."

After screening residents of Block B are completed, the process will continue with Blocks C, D, E, and F, he explained.

Meanwhile, Petaling Jaya district police chief ACP Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said police units have now been based at the flats to facilitate the screening process.

Nik Ezanee said the police personnel will also make sure the residents adhere to the anti-Covid-19 SOPs such as physical distancing.
