PETALING JAYA (Oct 26): One of the employees of Baskin-Robbins Malaysia in 1 Utama shopping centre had tested positive for Covid-19, said the company on Oct 25, 2020.

In its Facebook postings, the company said the infected staff, who last worked on Oct 22, is now under the care of a government hospital. 

Following the incidents, the Baskin-Robbins outlet in 1 Utama was immediately closed down for disinfections, all exposed food and packaging were discarded.

All the staff members who were in close contact with the infected staff were now in self-quarantine and being tested, while the company has deployed a new team to the store only after being tested negative.

“We are fully committed to protect our frontliners and customers at all costs. We believe our emphasis on the importance of team members reporting their illness and not coming to work if unwell has allowed us to stop the spread further. We shall continue to reinforce our stringent food safety and hygiene standards and play our part to keep our community safe.
