KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 2): One of the promoters of the children product section at Sogo Kuala Lumpur, has been tested positive for Covid-19, said Sogo Malaysia.
The promoter was from one of its suppliers of the babies section on the fourth floor.
In a social media posting yesterday, the department store said the infection was detected off-site on the late evening of Oct 31 (Sat).
"As a precaution, we arranged for immediate sanitisation and disinfection which was completed in the early hours of this morning (Nov 1)," it stated.
“We are in contact with the authorities for contact tracing information and will abide by their directions on RT-PCR tests and quarantine procedures. We wish to assure all our esteemed customers that your health and safety are foremost in our minds at all times. We will keep everyone informed of any health & safety matters,” added Sogo Malaysia.
Earlier on Oct 17, one of the tenant staff of the All IT Hypermarket on the seventh floor of Sogo KL was tested positive for Covid-19. The mall immediately took the necessary measures including thorough cleaning and temporary closing down the whole floor for public safety.
