KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 24): The Meteorological Department of Malaysia (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning notice of bad weather in Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang until tomorrow.

According to MetMalaysia in a statement on Nov 23, 2020, it involved Kota Bharu, Bachok, Pasir Puteh and Kuala Krai in Kelantan and Maran, Kuantan and Pekan in Pahang and the whole of Terengganu, following continuous heavy rains which were expected in the three states.

The alert weather warning was also issued in Kelantan involving Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Jeli and Tanah Merah and Jerantut, Bera and Rompin in Pahang starting from today until Wednesday.

‘’Strong north-easterly winds with speeds of 40-50 km/h and waves up to 3.5 metres are expected to occur in the waters of Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang during the period.

‘’This can bring the risk of overflow of seawater in the coastal areas and river estuaries,’’ said the statement.
