KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 4): Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu has lost the support of the majority of the State Legislative Assembly after a motion of confidence failed to garner enough votes.

The State Legislative Assembly sought to bring forward the vote of confidence this morning after emergency motions were filed by Salbiah Mohamed (Barisan Nasional-Temenggor) and Howard Lee (Pakatan Harapan-Pasir Pinji).

Out of the 59 assemblypersons, 10 voted for the motion, 48 voted against, and one abstained or cast a spoiled ballot.
