Covid-19: Talk show star Ellen DeGeneres tests positive for disease

KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 11): US talk show star Ellen DeGeneres (pictured), 62, has tested positive for Covid-19, said numerous reports.

Producer Telepictures said in a statement that DeGeneres’ daytime talk show “has been paused until January”, reported AP.

In a posting on her Facebook, she said: “Hi Everyone, I want to let you all know that I tested positive for Covid-19. Fortunately, I’m feeling fine right now.”

“Anyone who has been in close contact with me has been notified, and I am following all proper CDC [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] guidelines. I’ll see you all again after the holidays. Please stay healthy and safe,” she added.

As a result, reruns of The Ellen DeGeneres Show started airing yesterday.
