KLANG (Dec 21): Two more staff from Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (HTAR) have been confirmed positive for Covid-19, bringing the total number of infected staff to 62 persons, reported The Star this morning.
 
Selangor Health Department director Datuk Sha’ari Ngadiman said another two patients admitted to the hospital also tested positive.
 
This means that 81 patients are currently Covid-19-positive at the hospital and the total number of positive cases there, including personnel, is 143 daily added. 
 
Nevertheless, Sha’ari said there are also hospital staff members who have completed the home surveillance order who tested negative and are back on duty.
 
“Overall everything is under control, ’’ he said.
 
Meanwhile, the daily also reported that for cases coming for treatment at HTAR, the hospital is managing them with existing staff who are not close contacts of the infected personnel.
 
Sha’ari added that two more medical staff members tested positive at Hospital Serdang, bringing the number of infected hospital staff to 37 cases.
