MCA HQ shuts section office after senior staff tests positive for Covid-19

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 1): A senior MCA staff at the party’s headquarters, Wisma MCA, has tested positive for Covid-19.

“It has come to the attention of MCA headquarters that a senior staff member from the MCA Public Services and Complaints Department has been diagnosed positive with Covid-19.

“Upon learning of the news, the MCA Headquarters immediately shut the office of the said department located at Level 7 of Wisma MCA, for a thorough sanitisation to be conducted,” said MCA headquarters in a statement yesterday.

It said it has immediately arranged for all staff of the affected department to undergo Covid-19 tests.

“Meanwhile, the management of Wisma MCA has carried out sanitisation works for the entire building, in accordance with the pandemic prevention guidelines and SOPs by the Ministry of Health, in particular public areas,” it added.
