LOS ANGELES (Jan 3): Veteran broadcaster Larry King has tested positive and was hospitalised at a hospital in Los Angeles, reported CNN.

Citing an unidentified source, the report said the 87-year old talk show host was receiving treatment at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre for over a week.

King hosted CNN's "Larry King Live" for 25 years, retiring in 2010. He continued to do interviews on his own website and then, in 2012, he began hosting "Larry King Now" on Ora TV, an on-demand digital network that he co-founded.

He has Type 2 diabetes and has a long history of medical issues, including heart attack, lung cancer and angina.
