Landslide : One lane opens at Km18.5 Jalan Kuala Lumpur-Kuala Lipis

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 3): One lane has been opened to light vehicles at Kilometre 18.5 of Jalan Kuala Lumpur-Kuala Lipis near Sungai Gumut, Hulu Selangor, near here at noon, following a landslide at the location.

Selangor police chief Supt Arshad Kamaruddin said the opening of the lane would enable light vehicles from both directions of Kuala Kubu Bharu-Bukit Fraser to continue their journey to their respective destinations.

Arshad said the road was earlier closed to enable repairs and clearing works which are expected to take two days to be completed by the Hulu Selangor Public Works Department.

"Police received information on the landslide at 12.30 pm from the Hulu Selangor operations room,” he told Bernama.
