Alert weather warning, heavy rain in east coast and Sabah
KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 5): The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued an alert weather warning with forecast of heavy rain in Kelantan, as well as several areas in Terengganu, Pahang and Sabah today.
MetMalaysia, in a statement released at 7.25 am today, said the areas in Terengganu involved the Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu and Marang districts, while in Pahang, the areas that will be affected are Cameron Highland, Lipis and Jerantut.
As for Sabah, it involves the districts of Sandakan (Telupid, Kinabatangan and Beluran), as well as Kudat.
