MCT Bhd set to launch Aetas Damansara this month

PETALING JAYA (Jan 5): MCT Berhad (MCT) is looking to officially unveil its Aetas Damansara development in this month, after the project was previewed and garnered a healthy take-up rate in November 2020.

In a media statement today, the company said Aetas Damansara, a residential development which jointly developed by MCT and  Ayala Land, Inc, has a gross development value (GDV) of RM564 million. The high-end condominium is located in Tropicana Golf & Country Resort, Damansara, comprises 226 leasehold units with three- to four-bedroom layout choices. Selling price starts from RM1.97 million.

Other than Aetas Damansara, MCT chief executive officer Teh Heng Chong said the company planned to launch another six projects this year, including Alira in Metropark, Subang, and Sanderling Lakefront Residences in Cyberjaya.

Targeted for launch in first quarter this year, phase one of Alira with a GDV of RM316 million, consists of 492-unit of resort-style apartments with built up areas from 695 sq ft to 1,048 sq ft. Meanwhile, the Sanderling Lakefront Residences consists of 606 units of condominiums priced from RM 475,000 will be launched in second quarter this year.

The other projects include a boutique commercial centre at Lakefront Cyberjaya, the maiden phase of Cybersouth Town Centre in Dengkil, as well as new residential developments located in USJ Subang and one in Cybersouth.

“The property market is expected to continue its path towards recovery with the global economy gaining steady progress following the recent Covid-19 vaccine roll-out. Coupled with the low interest rate environment and reintroduction of the Home Ownership Campaign, which presents good buying opportunities, more homebuyers will once again be searching for their dream home,” said Teh in the media statement.

Currently, MCT owns 289.5 acres of undeveloped land bank with a total future GDV of approximately RM11.4 billion.
