PETALING JAYA (Jan 14): Knight Frank Malaysia has appointed Keith H.Y. Ooi as deputy managing director and Yusri Kamaruzaman bin Mohamed Yusof as business development director with effect from this month.

Together with Sarkunan Subramaniam, managing director of Knight Frank Malaysia, Ooi will be responsible for driving the performance of the business across all service lines of the group, while Yusri will be spearheading the business development division of the group.

Ooi has 20 years of experience in real estate professional services. In Knight Frank Malaysia, he co-headed the valuation and advisory business and was responsible for undertaking and managing large-scale corporate valuation-related work, in particular valuation for submission to Securities Commission Malaysia and Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd.

His notable involvements, amongst others, include the IPO/listing along with subsequent acquisition of properties by Sunway and Pavilion REITs.

Meanwhile, Yusri, who has newly joined Knight Frank, has 35 years of experience in the real estate industry with the first 11 years in property valuation and property management. 

Over the subsequent 24 years, he was involved in the Real Estate Investment Trust industry. Yusri brings with him valuable industry experience where he is able to understand the specific needs and requirements from both client and consultant’s perspectives, hence he is able to effectively advise solutions that meet clients’ objectives.
