Covid-19: Food diva Nigella Lawson 'head in a spin’ after getting call for vaccination

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 16): English foodwriter and TV chef Nigella Lawson (pictured) has announced on Twitter that her "head is in a spin" when she received an invitation from the UK’s NHS to get her Covid-19 vaccination, reported the Daily Express.

The 61-year-old food diva said it was the news she “really wanted to hear”.

“In the words of Kelly Marie, My head is in a spin/my feet don’t touch the ground,” she wrote online.

“I have just had a beautiful text saying the words I really wanted to hear this Valentine’s: it’s from the NHS and they’re calling me in for my first jab!” Lawson wrote on her Twitter.

Lawson was referring to the 1980 hit song Feels Like I’m in Love.

The UK has been rolling out its Covid-19 rapidly, with Prime Minister Boris Johnson announcing on Sunday that 15 million first doses of covid-19 vaccinations had so far been delivered

The British government set a Feb 15 target date to have 15 million people in priority categories vaccinated, such as care home residents and staff, frontline health and care workers, and those aged 70 or over and the clinically vulnerable.
