Covid-19: Malaysia logs 2,468 new cases with 14 more deaths, active cases continue to drop

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 23): Malaysia logged 2,468 new Covid-19 cases today — marking the second consecutive day new cases stayed above the 2,000 mark — with 14 more deaths.

Selangor recorded the highest number of infections today at 932, followed by Johor (428) and Perak (308).

Meanwhile, 4,055 Covid-19 patients have recovered from the disease, bringing down the current number of active cases to 30,475, according to data shared by the Health Ministry in a social media post today.

This means active cases have dropped for 13 straight days from a high of 52,186 on Feb 10.

Malaysia’s total cases stood at 288,229 versus total recoveries at 256,678.

The total fatalities due to the pandemic increased further to 1,076.
