PETALING JAYA (March 6): Starting from this year, the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) will not print and post assessment tax bills to ratepayers, The Star reported today.

“This is in line with MBSJ’s policy towards creating a Green City 2030, by introducing assessment tax e-bills, ” the daily reported MBSJ Corporate and Strategic Management Department deputy director Azfarizal Abdul Rashid saying in a statement.

“Ratepayers can get their assessment bills online by registering at My@MBSJ via www.mbsj.gov.my to access and pay their e-bills.”

“The council had announced the e-billing method to customers last year through various platforms such as MBSJ billboards, flyer and pamphlet distributions to areas under MBSJ as well as through Residents Representative Council,” explained Azfarizal.

“However, to ensure a smooth transition, MBSJ took the initiative to send physical copies of the assessment tax bills to property owners during this initial stage.”

MBSJ ratepayers can pay assessment bills online via MBSJ’s website, online banking, e-wallet apps and JomPay, or in person via kiosks at MBSJ’s headquarters, branch offices and selected shopping centres, e-pay at selected petrol stations and convenience stores as well as post office counters.
