KUALA LUMPUR (April30): Twenty-two Ramadan Bazaars at in several Covid-19 high-risk areas have been instructed to close from tomorrow by Local Government and Housing Ministry (KPKT) to curb the spread of Covid-19.

The decision was made at a special meeting of the National Security Council on April 28.

The 22 bazaars were located in Penang (eight), Johor (four), Kedah (three), Pahang (two), Selangor (two), Kuala Lumpur (two) and Perak (one).

KPKT said in a statement that these bazaars had been identified as high risk, based on a contact tracing analysis done by the health ministry through the MySejahtera app.
