KUALA LUMPUR (May 19): There are no more green Covid-19 zones in Peninsular Malaysia, the Ministry of Health (MoH) said in a tweet today on Malaysia’s Covid-19 cases across the 14-day period as at May 18.

The tweet underlined five green zones out of 40 in Sarawak and eight green zones out of 27 in Sabah. Green zones had zero Covid-19 cases in the period under review.

In Peninsular Malaysia, five states had only red zones, namely Selangor (20,649 cases), Kuala Lumpur (5,751), Penang (3,693), Melaka (1,156) and Putrajaya (163).

Three districts in Selangor recorded the highest numbers of cases in the period nationwide, led by Petaling (7,426), and followed by Hulu Langat (4,686) and Klang (2,827).

Two states had all red zones except for one yellow zone (with one to 20 cases recorded) each, namely Johor (4,709) and Kelantan (4,539).

It should be noted that Sarawak had the second highest number of cases in the period behind Selangor with 6,544 cases.

Total positive cases stood at 57,089, the tweet added.
