KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 16): Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin has confirmed that the cabinet members have resigned, his posting on social media revealed.

In his postings on Instagram at around 1.30pm today, it said: “The Cabinet has tendered our resignation to the Agong, Thank you again for the opportunity to, once again, serve the nation. May God bless Malaysia.”

Meanwhile, around 12.23pm today, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin arrived at Istana Negara to have an audience with Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.

The resignation, if confirmed, would end a tumultuous 17 months in office for Muhyiddin but also bring more uncertainty to Malaysia.
