PETALING JAYA (Aug 16): The outgoing Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin expressed her gratitude to the former prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin for leading Malaysia for close to two years and continuing to serve the country as caretaker prime minister.

In her Twitter post today, one hour after Muhyiddin officially announced his resignation, Zuraida thanked him for giving her the opportunity to be part of the Cabinet and to serve the country.

“I hope the current situation in the country will improve. God bless Malaysia,” said  the member of Parliament of Ampang.

Zuraida was appointed as Housing and Local Government Minister in May 2018 under the Pakatan Harapan government and reappointed to the same position when Muhyiddin became the prime minister in March 2020.
