KOTA KINABALU (Sept 7): A sky bridge connecting to a shopping mall has caught netizens’ attention as the bridge leads to a dead end, reported The Rakyat Post today.

The report, citing postings from social media, said the sky bridge linking Asia City, Center Point Shopping Mall, and Api-Api Centre in Kota Kinabalu has completed and slated to open for pedestrians on this Thursday.

However, the 400m sky bridge which was built right up to the side of the mall did not have any door for the pedestrian to enter the mall. It doesn't even have a staircase leading down.

The report, collating previous news reports, noted that the construction has been delayed for some time because the developer went bankrupt before completing the project.

Over the years, few allocations have been provided by the government to construct the sky bridge, totaling around RM64 million.
