KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 20): Travellers who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 now have the option to quarantine at home when they arrive in Malaysia, the Ministry of Health (MoH) said today.

"Please visit http://moh.gov.my from Sept 21 at 8am to apply. Travellers arriving from Sept 28 are also required to apply through the new portal,” the ministry said via Twitter.

Applications must be made seven to 10 days prior to the date of entry into Malaysia, the MoH added, and the applications will be processed within seven working days.

According to the ministry, eligibility criteria for travellers who intend to apply for home quarantine when they arrive in Malaysia include “home or residence must be suitable based on risk evaluation” and "negative Covid-19 PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test [results]".
