PETALING JAYA (Oct 25): Debuting in the Malaysian market, Washington D.C’s favourite burger joint set its first footstep on Malaysian soil at Resorts World Genting’s Sky Avenue mall in Genting Highland today.

Five Guys is a family business started by Jerry and Janie Murell. Established in 1986, the burger joint originated from Arlington, Virginia. With a considerable amount of huge following especially in the DC area, Five Guys ventured into franchise opportunities in 2003.

Currently, Five Guys has about 1,700 outlets across the globe.

The outlet occupies about 2,600 sq ft of space in the Sky Avenue mall with the capacity to cater up to 50 customers. Offering fresh buns and patties everyday, Five Guys serves a range of menu items from burgers, hotdog and sandwiches with 15 different toppings to choose from.

With a variety of offerings, what makes Five Guys unique is that it encourages their patrons to create their own unique combination whether it be burgers, hotdog or sandwich.
